We're celebrating on New Year's Eve, so book your accommodations and transportation as early as possible.

Jonah and I met through a friend in late 2017. At first, I was just participating in his friend group... then I joined it. We started hanging out at parties. Then four of us binge-watched Avatar during COVID (we were in a bubble). Slowly, over the course of 3 ½ years, we got closer and closer, with fewer and fewer buffers between us. Eventually I got Sokka, our dog. Jonah's apartment had a backyard, and I brought Sokka over so frequently that I found myself spending nearly every day over there. Eventually, I realized that I was drawn to him for some reason then unknown. So when he asked me out, I had to oblige. I could finally put to rest whatever was between us. I mean, I was moving to Austin in a few months; he was staying in Eugene. I didn't want to ruin our friend group with some bad breakup. It made no sense, yet it was also the best choice. Anyways, when I asked him to move to Texas with me a few months later in May of 2021, I thought, "What's the harm?" He'll say no. For some reason, he said yes. It all worked out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Now we live in our house in Manor, outside of Austin. We don't get any time alone because we work together; we eat together; we rot together at our computers in the office. I love it 💕
