we are having an "unplugged" ceremony, so please refrain from taking pictures during the event. the reception is a different story, but we ask that you share any photos you take with us so we can see the day through your eyes!

When we met in 2017, neither of us had any idea what was in store for us. We met in the common room of Josephine's dorm. Jonah's friend—who didn’t live there—had commandeered the area and frequently invited his friends over; Jonah was one of them.
During COVID, we were in each other’s social pods and spent most evenings watching Avatar: The Last Airbender with our friends.
Eventually, in 2020, when Josephine got Sokka, she often went over to Jonah’s apartment—because it had a yard—to hang out with him and his roommates.
We started dating in February 2021, just before Josephine was set to move to Austin. Despite the risk, we decided to move together. That September, we moved across the country to Texas and began our life together.
After four years, we became engaged on October 10th, 2025.
